Francis Wainwright (1940-), Clown, signed and dated '92, pastel, 42 x 29.5cm.; 16.5 x 11.75in. * Studied at Burslem School of Art. With his wife Sheila he produced a series of children's books and in 1987 his translation of Pinocchio appeared. Showed widely in Britain and internationally and was included in People and Places at Gagliardi Gallery in 1993.
