There is also a strong single owner collection of hammered silver coinage dating back to Henry VIII which have been discovered locally over many years by a metal detectorist. Foreign gold coinage is also strongly represented with many beautiful French and Russian high-grade gold coins as well as gold coins from South Africa and Sweden.
Banknotes are well represented in this sale with a good selection of Bank of England, Isle of Man and Scottish banknotes to include two very rare hand-signed banknotes by the then Chief Cashier - D.H.F. Somerset.
