Two King Philip V, 8 Reales, 1738 and 1740, Mexico, Crowned arms shield flanked by value and initials Legend: PHILIP·V·D·G·HISPAN·ET IND·REX, R. Crowned hemispheres flanked by crowned pillars, Legend: VTRAQUE VNUM, silver, weighing 25.7g and 26.0g, together with accompanying certificates of origin (2).
* These coins were salvaged by divers from the wreck of the Dutch East Indian Company ship 'Hollandia' which sank with great loss of life when it struck a reef off the Isles of Scilly on 13th July 1743.
