Japanese Arita blue and white large vase, 17th/18th century, the oviform body painted with three panels of chrysanthemums, on floral ground with borders of diaper and trailing foliage, height 47cm; together with a mid-19th century Staffordshire cover made to match the vase. *By tradition this vase was brought from China in 1835 the captain of the Roxburgh Castle.
