Wheel-thrown stoneware, hand-carved repeated motif filled with underglaze, further applied mixed glaze, central band of hangul verse by the Korean poet Yun Dong-ju, signed to base.
Dimensions: 23.5cm high
Miae Kim, originally from South Korea, worked in the film industry in Los Angeles before finding her calling as a ceramicist. She now practices in London, hand-making domestic and decorative wares according to her "East Meets West" philosophy.
