Rare unaltered Martini Henry MkI .577/450 rifle, 32inch barrel fitted with folding ladder sight, secured by two bands one with bayonet lug, cleaning rod to the underside of with original sharp shouldered form, the polished breech block stamped S B relating to the improved striker, held in place with a bronze axis pin, the receiver stamped with a Crowned VR Enfield I and dated 1873, the butt fitted with sling swivel (moved to the trigger guard on later patterns) with deeply struck R.M. Enfield WD I roundell and chequered butt plate, numerous WD inspection stamps to all parts. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.
