Rare Pair of Large Stoneware Planters
Salt-glazed and moulded in high relief with birds and nests against repeated pattern of foliate scrolls beneath further inverted egg-and-dart-type moulding, the base interior pierced, both with impressed mark R. W. Martin Southall Pottery to both sides (one stamped twice to one side), one bearing incised signature R. W. Martin Southall 1877 to base.
