Experienced General Valuer / Auctioneer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced general valuer with a focus on a specialist area to join our expanding Wilson55 team.

Founded in 1955 we are now one of the leading expert online auctioneers running a calendar of over 30 specialist sales per year.

This is a full-time position that encompasses the provision of valuations for sale, probate and insurance purposes both at the saleroom and the homes of clients.

You will be required to catalogue, photograph and curate sections within four specialist sales per year. 

Auctioneering experience is desirable but not essential. We require a team player who is an excellent timekeeper and can work to deadlines, who is IT literate and holds a full clean driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years auction experience and a proven track record in valuations and cataloguing and be able to source items for their specialist sales.

This is a full-time saleroom based role in Nantwich, Cheshire, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm.

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our team.  The ideal candidate will provide administrative support to all areas of the business including the directors, valuers, accounts and reception.

Duties to include answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and supplying information. Directing and responding to incoming emails.  Arranging appointments and valuations.  Covering reception / accounts when needed by dealing with customers and taking payments. 

Managing and keeping the website up to date with news and sale dates.  Liaising with valuers and scheduling social media posts and mailchimps.  Keeping the TV screen slide shows up to date.  Sending out pre and post sale information.

Sale day activities to including telephone and live internet bidding.  Inputting results and sending out invoices.

Other ad hoc duties to include typing up and sending out probate and insurance valuations.  Supporting valuers when needed with inputting stock into the system, photo editing when needed and following up on valuations.

We require a team player who is an excellent timekeeper and can work to deadlines, who is IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office and Photoshop, although training can be given.  The ideal candidate must be personable and have experience of dealing with the public.

This is a full time position based in Nantwich, Mondy to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.
