Ercol, one of Britain's best-loved and most successful furniture companies. Founded in 1920 at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire by Italian-born Lucian Ercolani (1888-1976), who came to Britain at the age of 10. Since the 1920’s, Ercol has been making timeless pieces of furniture, such as dining tables, sideboards, chairs, sofas, coffee tables and bedroom furniture - with an emphasis upon good design, craftsmanship and comfort.
Ercol is still going strong today and the company is still family-owned and run however buyers and collectors look to buy earlier example of their work. The most popular pieces are often made of elm or beech, the lighter colour complementing the majority of modern interiors.
