Purdey Shotguns

Purdeys are known for their high end bespoke shotguns and rifles. Guns made by Purdey always attract strong demand at auction due to the intricate details and fine craftmanship that go into each example. A pair of Ken Hunt decorated 12 bore guns made by Purdey in 1968 sold for £47,750 recently at an auction in London reflecting their strong desirability amongst collectors.

Purdey Gun

Purdey has a heritage dating back to its founding by James Purdey in 1814. The company was named James Purdey and Sons and could name Queen Victoria among its more famous customers. In 1848 the queen bought a pair of Purdey Pistols.
