Steyr Rifles

Originating from the storied Austrian arms manufacturer, Steyr Mannlicher, these rifles are renowned for their accuracy, reliability, and craftsmanship.

The Historical Significance of Steyr Rifles

Steyr Mannlicher, founded in 1864 by Josef Werndl in the town of Steyr, Austria, has been at the forefront of firearm technology for over a century. Steyr rifles have a storied history, having been used by various military forces throughout the world wars, making them not only functional firearms but also significant historical artifacts.

Features and Design

Steyr rifles are distinguished by their precision engineering. The classic Steyr Mannlicher M1895, for instance, is a bolt-action rifle famous for its straight-pull action, which allows for quicker and smoother reloading compared to traditional rotating bolts.

Collectibility and Value

Steyr rifles hold a special place in the hearts of collectors due to their historical significance and unique design features. Limited edition models and those with historical provenance can fetch high prices at auction. Collectors particularly value rifles with original parts and markings, which authenticate their involvement in historical events.
