Webley air pistols offer an abundance of variety for the collector, for production of these air guns has been constant from 1924 to present day with only a break for WWII and a short break in the early part of this century whilst ownership of the company changed. With the value of so many firearms now reaching into four figures the products of the Webley factory offer the collector on the budget a source of interest in the low hundreds of pounds.
Key to collecting these air pistols is understanding the huge number of variations available and several good reference books are available to accompany the collector written by Dennis Hiller and Gordon Bruce. Condition and originality is important but also the original card boxes that can still be found will add a premium to the price however look out for reproduction boxes.
