Our first ever Designer & Luxury Sale took place on Thursday 23rd July. With over 130 lots of beautiful designer handbags, purses, jewellery, scarves, accessories and clothing, there truly was something to suit every style in this auction. 

Chanel reigned supreme this sale, our front cover lot was a beautiful classic Chanel douple flap handbag, dating to 1991-1994. In a wonderful buttery colour and that beautifully soft lambskin leather, this unique piece featured an eye-catching bi-colour double C clasp. After international interest in this rare piece, the hammer fell on this Chanel at £1,800.

The next Chanel to soar was a fantastic tote bag, in the black caviar leather that Chanel is so renowned for. With a striking oversized gold-tone double C clasp, spherical CC accent toggle and partial chain handles, this timeless and practical piece went to a delighted local bidder for £1,000.

A Chanel CC Turnlock Shopping tote handbag, circa 1991-4, sold for £1,000. 

Another highly wearable piece from Chanel was this beautiful necklace. Complete with original pouch and box, this necklace attracted the attention of our bidders accross our viewing events and eventually settled at £340. Other Chanel sales included a beautiful classic black wallet that fetched £230,

Other successes included our enviable selection of Louis Vuitton luggage and holdall bags this sale, both in Epi leather and in the classic monogram canvas. Our bidders showed that they are keen to travel in style, with the larger of these holdall bags selling particularly well.

It wasn't all just the Chanels and holdalls to capture the attention of our bidders! Some rare and discontinued Louis Vuitton pieces sold very well, with many bidding battles over some beautiful wearable and rare designs. In particular, the Louis Vuitton Bagtinolles in both Vertical and Horizontal variations impressed our bidders at viewing events, with their roomy design, adjustable side buckles and classic design enticing some fierce bidding battles!

Other unique and eye-catching pieces to sell included a Louis Vuitton Soufflot bag in a beautiful red Epi leather. Complete with a miniature matching pouch, this piece sold to a fashionista for £460. Similarly, the beautifully summery Louis Vuitton Tahitienne Canvas handbag attracted a lot of attention from our bidders, eventually settling at £420.
