Christmas is just around the corner, and what better way to start your Christmas wishlist or festive shopping than with a look at our fantastic November Fine Art Auction. Taking place on Wednesday 20^th November, commencing at 11am, our Jewellery, Watches and Silver selection has a dazzling array of designer items at a fraction of the retail price. With classic and modern designs for both ladies and gents, here are our top designer picks:

De Vroomen

We are thrilled to offer a single-owner collection of fantastic jewellery designed by De Vroomen. These sensational earrings are perfect for the forthcoming Christmas party season. In immaculate condition and hardly worn, these superb clip earrings would make a statement with any outfit.

The signature style of De Vroomen jewellery is the result of a collaboration between husband and wife team, Dutch goldsmith Leo de Vroomen, and British jewellery designer Ginnie de Vroomen. The couple started collaborating on jewellery in the 1970s, and their designs encapsulate a dedication to form and a timeless style that is unparalleled. De Vroomen jewellery is bold, sophisticated and sought-after, with fewer than a handful of pieces auctioned in the last couple of years. Cartier

Perhaps a brand that has been on most people’s wishlists, Cartier remains the most googled jewellery search term. With iconic and modern designs that stand the test of time, it is easy to see why. Our selection of Cartier lots this sale includes the ever sought-after LOVE bangle, and an effortlessly stylish Tank Francaise watch with mother of pearl dial and pink sapphire cabochon crown.

Wellendorff

Wellendorff is a renowned German jewellery designer, famed for their exceptional wirework designs that are painstakingly put together by their team of master craftsmen. This wonderful ropework design was established in 1977 after a bid from the company to create ‘silk made from gold.’ The result is a beautiful ergonomic design that exudes opulence. The piece is finished off with a warming and bright circular citrine to the centre, together with the iconic diamond W that adorns all of the firms pieces.

Boodles

Boodles is a luxury brand that is coveted worldwide, renowned for its excellence in design and for sourcing the finest diamonds and gemstones. Founded in Liverpool in 1798, Boodles & Dunthorne was a purveyor of fine antique jewellery. In 1910 to firm merged with the Wainwright Jewellers, retaining its name. The firm was a silversmith, jewellers and watchmakers, but emerged as a bespoke jewellery retailer in the mid 20^th Century. Boodles & Dunthorne bought in its first jewellery designer in 1990, and was renamed ‘Boodles’ in 2004. Today, Boodles is still owned by the Wainwright family, and has stores in Liverpool, London, Manchester, Chester and Dublin.

Georg Jensen

Georg Jensen is a Danish design powerhouse that sells particularly well through our auctions, owing to its distinctive style and its immense appeal to collectors. In our November auction we have an array of Georg Jensen jewellery and silver items, pictured below are a couple of highlights:

Lot 29: A 1920s George Jensen silver tazza, pattern 446, £1,000-1,500.

Consigned from a Cheshire home, this fantastic Georg Jensen silver tazza bears import marks for the year 1928. An imposing piece, this silver tazza features a beautiful planished bowl and foliate stem, incorporating some of the design techniques that Jensen is so renowned for. Indeed, this pattern number is recorded and pictured in Janet Drucker’s indispensable work Georg Jensen 20^th Century Design, and noted as designed by Georg Jensen himself.  A fantastic find and a piece that would fit beautifully in a classic or a modern interior, we expect this lovely piece to generate a great deal of interest.

Lot 93: A Georg Jensen brooch, pattern no. 258, designed by Arno Malinowski, £150-200.

A Peter Wilson Fine Art Auction wouldn’t be complete without some Georg Jensen jewellery, and this lovely little brooch designed by Arno Malonowski features a lovely foliate songbird design, perfect for adorning any outfit.
