Porcelain of Penzance

Significant 18th Century Porcelain collection to be sold

We went to the beach for our summer holidays and brought back over 500 pieces of early English porcelain!

This massive collection (the work of some twenty years collecting) is due to be sold as part of our 12th -13th September Fine Art Sale. Many of the 18th-century factories are represented in the collection: Caughley, Worcester, Bow, Bristol, Derby; however, the focus is mainly around the Liverpool factories of Chaffers, Christians, and the porcelain of the Penningtons family. Also included in the sale will be ceramic reference works and a small collection of Chinese porcelain, mainly pieces that tie in with English porcelain production.
