Our 2020 calendar features an array of specialist sales that we are hugely excited to launch, catering to most markets and collecting areas, based on areas of exponential success from our Nantwich Saleroom.
Fittingly, our inaugural specialist sale of 2020 is the Northern Art Sale. Headed by paintings specialist Stephen Sparrow, this vibrant sale will include oils, watercolours, prints & engravings, pastels & inks and also gouache from the likes of Geoffrey Key, L.S. Lowry, Harold Riley, J.L. Isherwood, John Thompson, Liam Spencer, Will Turner, Trevor Grimshaw and many many more talented artists working in the North of the country, with works from the Mid 20th Century to the present day. Whether you are an avid collector, looking for a piece to add interest to your interior scheme, or simply fascinated by this wonderful section of the art world, our array of Northern Artworks will have something to fit the requirements of every bidder.
Following on from a year of huge success in 2019, in which an L.S. Lowry "The Pavillion", lithograph sold for an impressive £10,300, and a Geoffrey Key "Neck and Neck", oil sold for £5,500, our Northern Art offering is now set to take centre stage. Our expertise and care in cataloguing and presenting these fantastic works is unrivalled, having frequently featured in the Antiques Trade Gazette, Cheshire Life, and many more industry publications for our successes in this field.
Selling from our Nantwich headquarters nestled in the heart of Cheshire, our selection of Fine Northern works will be presented, lotted and sold in a cohesive gallery style sale.
The first Northern Art Sale will take place on Thursday 20th February, and we are inviting entries for this exciting first sale of the year.
