The Winter Fashion Sale was our first auction of 2021, and started the year off in style! Featuring a very special collection of clothing from a Cheshire lady who was a buyer in the fashion industry for many years, the Winter Fashion Sale boasted 160 lots of hardly worn designer clothing, handbags and accessories.
The selection of designer clothing in the Winter Fashion Sale included sought-after brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, Christian Dior, Fendi, Maxmara and countless others. With an array of beautifully kept, vibrant and exquisitely made coats, jackets, dresses, suits, trousers and skirs, there truly was something for every style and taste.
Acquired over many years, and sourced from fashion buying trips across Europe the wardrobe of our Cheshire lady attracted a wealth of attention from our stylish bidders, both locally and internationally from our online catalogues. With viewing events held in person in November and virtually in the run up to the sale, it was clear that this collection of couture was going to sell exceptionally well!
The stand-out piece from the coats was a beautiful leather full length coat with a detachable black fur collar by Gianni Versace. With bidders on our free online bidding platform Wilson Live battling it out with online bidders on The-Saleroom and Invaluable the lot sold for £756.

Other pieces to catch the eye of our bidders was a fur tipped wool cape, beautifully made with a satin lining, this timeless piece sold to a local lady for £366.

As expected, the Alexander McQueen two piece suit complete with original tags and labels attracted a huge amount of interest from collectors. In immaculate condition and with a beautiful zip design, this two piece suit eventually sold for £342.

Unsurprisingly, our Fendi pieces were amongst the most viewed in the entire sale. This gorgeous wool coat with original tag and stylish double breasted design went to one lucky bidder for £293.

The designer at the top of everyone's list this sale was Chanel. Our selection of Chanel bags featured something to suit every style and taste, with hard to find vintage designs catching the eye of our style-savvy bidders. The top-selling Chanel was a gorgeous two-tone 'In The Mix' bag, dating to circa 2012-13. The 'In The Mix' bag was introduced in Chanel's Autumn Winter 2010 collection and features a beautiful quilted base, top handles and detachable chain shoulder straps making it a wonderfully versatile piece.

Next up was a stylish and elegant Chanel Cerf bag in white. Dating to 2008-9, and accented perfectly with a silver-tone interlocking CC hardware, this eye-catching bag fetched £1,269.

Another Chanel to sell well was a black velvet 'Medallion' bag. An iconic design that was particularly popular in the 2000s, this beautiful piece dating to 1997-9 fetched £1,159 under the hammer.

The accessories section of this stylish sale also fetched fantastic prices. From silk scarves, heeled boots, sandals, wallets and cosmetic pouches, those little additions to any wardrobe. One lot to attract a lot of attention was the Chanel vanity case, crafted in the brands wonderful caviar leather and featuring the iconic double C logo, this piece sold for £634.

The selection of Hermès items in this sale sold very well, with two silk scarves reaching £232 each. A Bearn wallet in a joyous yellow hue sold for £329, and a bangle with buckle detailing, a brooch, and a Hermès necklace reached £220 each.

The selection of shoes included the likes of Jimmy Choo, Balmain, Pucci and countless others, one of the top lots to catch our bidders attention was a pair of black suede Jimmy Choo heeled boots, with smooth leather scalloped detailing and complete with original box. This eye-catching pair of boots sold for £232.

Good news for our fashionista bidders - there is still half of this remarkable collection of garments, due to sell in our Summer Fashion Sale. The Summer collection of this fantastic selection of fashion, bags and accessories will sell on 22nd April, and will be online on the 2nd April.
