Smith .50 calibre capping breech-loading carbine, in exceptionally good condition with most of the original blue and colour case harden, 20 inch barrel fitted with folding ladder sights, side of the receiver stamped 'Poultney & Trimble, Baltimore U.S.A. Manufactured by Mass. Arms Co. Chicopee Falls, Smiths Patent June 23 1857' matching serial numbers 12094 to frame and barrel.
Section 58(2) antique/ obsolete calibre no licence required to buy this lot, purchaser must be over the age of 18.
