Henry Justice Ford (1860-1941), Female figure, watercolour and gouache, 60 x 29cm.; 23.5 x 11.5in. * Friend of Burne-Jones. His most famous series of designs were the volumes of 'Fairy Tales' and 'True Stories' edited by Andrew Lang for Longmans. He also illustrated 'Aesop's Fables', 1888 and many others. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1892-1903 and an exhibition of his watercolours was held at the Fine Art Society in May, 1895.
