Early 19th-century chestnut veneered fall front secretaire, cross banded in amboyna, top with brass gallery, single frieze drawer, fall flap opening to reveal fourteen stationery compartments above twelve short drawers and three long drawers, lower section with two single panel doors covering two interior drawers with brass handles, cast brass honeysuckle motifs and ring pull handles, the cabinet reputed to have been imported from Russia in the early part of the 20th century.
