Vox continental II twin keyboard with cover, model TC/2M serial number 05229, together with swell pedal, and chromed 'Z' stand, also a Vox fuzz pedal.
This Vox keyboard was used by the band Manchester Mekon or Mekon as they were originally known. The instrument featured on the Manchester Musician’s Collective first album, “A Manchester Collection” and the second album, ‘Unzipping the Abstract’ as well as ‘No Forgetting - The Album’ the bands album released in a limited edition of 500 in 2017 40 years after Mekon started playing in public. The keyboard is heard playing a solo in the song ‘The Cake Shop Device’, the song’s guitar riff is supposed to have inspired the Joy Division track ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.
