Abstract log book for the ship 'Zealandia' charting the voyage from Wellington New Zealand to London via Cape of Horn, kept by Herbert Edward Leadam, the log begins 12th December 1878 and ends March 6th 1879. The log contains watercolour and pen and ink illustrations of Diego Ramirez islands, Trinidade islands, and other coastal views, illustrations of other tall ships encountered, as well as magnetic compass course charts, and loose illustrations of compasses on card. The log is accompanied with a bound photocopied facsimile of the original. (2 volumes)
