Zolotas is one of the most celebrated Greek jewellers and goldsmiths, with a company history dating back to 1895, but design inspiration reaching much further back to ancient times.
Efthimios Zolotas opened his first store at Aiolou Street the meeting point of all the Athenian elite, and the house quickly gained a reputation for its exceptional craftsmanship. Zolotas' son took the helm in the 1950s onwards, at a time when celebrities such as Jackie Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor were drawn to their gold Hellenistic inspired designs.
Throughout the subsequent years, collaborations with design forces such as Paloma Picasso, Ronald Mc Namer, and Nisa Chevènement produced highly collectable and visually exquisite pieces that are highly coveted at auction today.
