Best known for their large market share in the diamond industry, it is no surprise that De Beers jewellery continues to sell exceptionally well at auction. With some hammer prices in excess of £100,000 in the past few years, De Beers created jewellery is in high demand from both collectors and those new to the market. As one might perhaps expect, the pieces that sell the best under the hammer are large and impressive diamond single stone rings, either in D-Z or fancy colours, and with an accompanying report by the GIA or De Beers' own Institute of Diamonds.

As synthetic diamonds typically appeal much less to buyers at auctions, there is hope that this conversely will bolster the price of their natural diamond collections on the secondary market.
