Known for their exceptional and high quality chains and watch bracelets, W H Wilmot were a jewellery manufacturers operating in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. Based on Albion Street and founded in 1860, W H Wilmot were responsible for a remarkable output of Albert chains in 9 and 18ct gold, complete with lobster clasps, T-bar attachments and individual link markings. Moving into the 20th Century, W H Wilmot watch bracelets and cases can be seen adorning gold wristwatches such as Omega, Longines, as well as their own line of WHW quartz wristwatches. Unfortunately closing in 2009, pieces from this respected jeweller and manufacturer sell well under the hammer, particularly complete Albert chains, fancy link Albertina and watch chains, as well as timeless watch bracelets.
